Cardi is currently Principal Accounting Policies and Advice at NN Group where he has worked since 2015. Today he is mainly responsible for setting-up the global accounting under IFRS 17 for NN Group and training internal finance staff and management on this topic as well as advising the group and business units on various IFRS and Solvency II issues. Cardi holds a master’s degree in economics, is a chartered accountant and held various audit roles in medium-sized audit firms. Previously, Cardi was IFRS specialist at AEGON and before that project manager at the Dutch Accounting Standards Board. Cardi is part-time lecturer in the course of External Reporting at Nyenrode Business University. Cardi is also actively involved in a number of Dutch and European industry bodies.
